MICHAELMAR PHILIPPINES INCORPORATED (MPI) was formed with the primary objective of recruiting and providing highly qualified Filipino seafarers of good moral
character to recognized and reputable shipowners and third party ship managers. The Company was duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under
Registry No. A199719921 on 15 October 1997. MPI was granted its manning license by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) in 1998. The newest
license of MPI is compliant with the MLC 2006 regulation, with license no. POEA – 195 – SB – 053113 – R – MLC.
MPI received its first ISO 9001 certification from ABS Qualifications Evaluations, Inc. under ISO 9001:2000 in October 1999. The company’s current ISO 9001:2008
Certification was received from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) with Certificate of Compliance No. 129897- AQ – PHL – RvA, for the provision of qualified and trained
seafarers to the international shipping industry in accordance with STCW 2010, ISF Manning Agent’s Policy and the POEA rules.
The company continues to strive to provide Filipino seafarers of the highest caliber for all of its clients. The current pool of seafarers of MPI consists of seafarers
who specialize in the Tanker trades (Crude, Oil/Chem and LPG) and the Bulk trades (General Cargo, Bulk and Containers). The company has also created a Leisure department
to provide competent Filipino seafarers for passenger vessels of all sizes and leisure boats such as mega yachts.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Business, he has also undertaken his IMO Model Course for Instructors and Assessors. He is currently overseeing the whole operations of Michaelmar Phils., Inc..
As an AGM, she is also overseeing the whole operations of Michaelmar Phils., Inc. in coordinaton and assistance to all the members of the board.

Det Norske Veritas or DNV is a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).DNV follows a rigid guideline that enables the companies they audit to comply with most if not all major legislations, rules, policies both locally and internationally.
The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) is the oldest marine academy in the Philippines. Operated by the Filipino government under the supervision of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the academy is located in San Narciso, in the province of Zambales. Students are called midshipmen/midshipwomen but are often also referred to as cadets. Upon graduation, students are automatically commissioned as ensigns in the Philippine Navy or Philippine Coast Guard.
